FOUR-DAY LODGE / TENTED CAMP SAFARI
(
Day 0 – Arrival in Arusha
Distance: 30–50 km
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will
be met and
transferred to Planet Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Accommodation: Planet Lodge (HB)
Day 1 – Tarangire National Park
Distance: 130 km
Non-game drive travel time: 3–4 hrs
After breakfast, depart for safari with a brief stop in
Arusha for
last-minute shopping. Continue to Tarangire National Park
for a full
game drive with a picnic lunch.
Tarangire is famed for its massive elephant herds and iconic
baobab
trees. The park forms the heart of a major wildlife
migration corridor,
supporting up to 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and
30,000 zebras.
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House.
Day 2 – Serengeti National Park
Distance: 145 km
Non-game drive travel time: 3–4 hrs
After breakfast, depart via the scenic highlands of Karatu
and the
Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the world-famous
Serengeti
National Park with endless open plains stretching to the
horizon.
Proceed to the Seronera region—one of the park’s richest
wildlife areas,
sustained year-round by the Seronera River. Arrive in time
for lunch and
later enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp.
Day 3 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Distance: 145 km
Non-game drive travel time: 2–4 hrs
Begin with an early morning game drive in Serengeti.
Afterward, depart
for Ngorongoro with a stop at Olduvai Gorge—one of the most
important
archaeological sites on earth. Here, Drs. Louis and Mary
Leakey
uncovered fossils of early human ancestors, including
“Nutcracker Man”
and “Handy Man,” critical links in human evolution.
Continue to the crater highlands for dinner and overnight.
Accommodation: Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.
Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater / Arusha / Departure
Distance: 210 km
Non-game drive travel time: 3–4 hrs
After breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro
Crater for a
full day of wildlife viewing. Supported by year-round water
and grazing,
the crater hosts vast herds including wildebeest, zebras,
buffaloes,
elephants, hippos, eland, and warthogs.
Predators thrive here as well—lions, cheetahs, jackals,
hyenas, and the
elusive leopard. Visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake
home to
flamingos, hippos, and numerous water birds.
Later in the afternoon, return to Arusha for dinner and
overnight or
airport drop-off.
